Jalan B. Houses

A series of 4 Houses designed for 4 french friends that want to share the same summer vacation spot but also enjoy the privacy of a home. The houses were conceived with the idea of avoid the notion of monotonous repetition and at the same time deliver equal buildings.

The answer relies on the idea of RHYTHM and BLUR. By creating bedroom blocks on the upper floor, we could play of the spaces in between the blocks to create a visual RHYTHM of the facade. And by aligning the neighboring bedroom blocks, we BLUR the boundaries in between the properties, making it appear as a one ecosystem.
